Baptism is a public celebration of your decision to follow Jesus. It represents forgiveness from sin and new life in Christ. It is an expression of a person's commitment to Jesus and to the church. Jesus calls everybody who decides to follow him to be baptized.

Covenant membership is a commitment to do life together as part of our church family at Evergreen. Those who join in covenant membership at Evergreen commit to engage in the life of the community through discipleship and by using their gifts, time and resources to build up the church body.

Those who are baptized at Evergreen become covenant members of our church family. If you have already been baptized as an adult, you are welcome to join in covenant membership without being baptized. This typically involves sharing your testimony at our baptism and membership celebration.
