Spiritual Practice Guide for the Season of Lent

A Resource to Help You Connect With God During the Season of Lent

The Season of Lent

Throughout church history, Christians have celebrated the season of Lent during the 40 days leading up to Easter. Lent is considered an opportunity to set aside distractions, sacrifice certain luxuries and pleasures, and intentionally focus on Jesus in the weeks leading up to the most significant and world-changing event in human history.

Observing Lent is one way that we can be intentional about focusing on Jesus and opening ourselves up to the gift of His transforming work in our lives. Maybe God is inviting you to connect with Him in a special way during this season, by giving something up or adding a spiritual practice to your daily rhythm.

We've put together a resource guide that we hope will help you focus on Jesus and walk with Him more closely during this season of Lent.

A Resource Guide for Lent

In this resource guide, you will find some ideas for how to observe Lent as a family, a daily practice of Gospel meditation, a weekly Prayerful Review, and some special prayers for significant days during the season of Lent.
