Fall feels a little different this year, doesn't it?
Fall is usually a season of new beginnings. As a church, it is typically the time of the year that we relaunch programs and cast vision for the coming ministry year. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, our usual rhythms have been disrupted and so much remains uncertain about how the coming months will unfold.
At the same time, it is more important than ever that we are intentional about staying connected as we follow Jesus together. In this season of unknowns, we can be remain certain that God is with us, God is for us, and he is inviting us to experience and participate in his Kingdom here and now.

Ready to get connected?
Here's how you can connect at Evergreen this fall:
Engage in our Online Service on Sundays at 10am
As we continue into the fall season, we will continue to stream our services at 10:00 am on Sundays. In October, we will be switching to a livestream format that will allow you to watch our services as they are happening!
Join us on our YouTube channel so that you can participate in the chat and connect with others while engaging in the service. You can also view the service and interact with others through our Online Church page.
Towards the end of October, we will assess the possibility of opening the church to a small studio audience on Sunday mornings, while following the government's guidelines for safety.
Go Deeper with the Talk It Over Questions
Each week, we provide conversation questions related to the sermon. Use these questions to generate discussion within your family, Life Group, or with friends. You can find the questions here:
Participate in a Life Group
At Evergreen, small groups have always been an important part of who we are. God calls us to live in community, and small groups create space for us to share our lives and our faith with other people.
As we continue to experience restrictions to gathering together as a result of COVID-19, it is even more important that we are being intentional about connecting with other followers of Jesus. We are encouraging everybody who is a part of our church family to engage in a Life Group during this season.
Life Groups can take shape in a variety of ways, shapes, and forms. Some Life Groups gather together to worship and take in the Sunday service together. Others get together later in the week to engage in intentional conversation about the message. Some Life Groups work through other topics related to our faith. Some Home Churches meet online, and some meet in person - while following the government's guidelines for gathering together safely.
This season has made it challenging to connect with others, but with intentionality, we can all experience meaningful community as we follow Jesus together.
Join Us in Practicing Infinitum for 8 Weeks
The Infinitum Posture Prayer is a daily practice that can orient us towards the ways of Jesus as we start off each day. It includes physical postures that help us pray with our entire bodies as we align our hearts with God and posture ourselves to live out the gospel in the world.
Starting on Monday, September 28th, we are challenging everyone from the Evergreen family to participate in an 8-week Infinitum challenge. Click below for more information!
Participate in our Monthly Town Hall Meeting
Starting in October, we will be holding monthly Town Hall meetings to provide our church family an opportunity to ask questions, receive updates and stay connected with Evergreen's vision and direction. The meeting will be live-streamed online. Join us on the last Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm. A link will be provided closer to the date of the meeting.
Stay Up to Date on Upcoming Events
Check out our Upcoming Events page on a regular basis to stay up to date about any virtual or physically-distanced in-person events that are coming up at Evergreen.
Care for Others in Our Community
As we all feel the impact of COVID-19 in different ways, we want to be a church that cares for one another well. We have created a space on our website where you can let us know if you have a need or if you are able to help another person out with a need. Our staff team will be working to connect those with needs with those who are able to help.
At Evergreen Heights, we believe prayer makes a difference. We have a prayer team at Evergreen that connects regularly and is passionate about praying for the needs of others. We would love to be able to pray for you! You can easily submit prayer requests through our website and know that people from within the Evergreen family will be holding you in prayer.
Your faithfulness in giving allows us to continue to support and disciple people of all ages, to equip Jesus followers with teaching and resources for growth, to fund missionaries and other great ministry, and to take care of the expenses that come with operating a facility and serving our community.
Though the way we do our ministry has shifted during the pandemic, Evergreen continues to function at full speed on a day-to-day basis. If you are a part of our church family please continue to give as you feel led so that our ministry can continue to happen!
