24 Hours of Prayer

Joining Together in Prayer

At Evergreen, we believe that prayer is central to who we are and how we are called to live out our faith.

Prayer changes things. It changes our hearts. It changes our circumstances. It changes the world.

When we pray, we make space in our lives to connect with God - the Almighty, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and our perfect and loving Father. And it is within the context of that relationship that we discover our true identity, our purpose, and our calling as the Church as we seek to represent the Kingdom of God in our world. It is within the context of that relationship that the Spirit empowers us to live on mission - to represent God's light and love in our world.

In the midst of this global pandemic, prayer is essential for us as followers of Christ. God is our strength, our comforter, and our provider. Prayer is an opportunity to come before him with our needs and grow in our love and trust for Him as we centre ourselves in His presence.

Prayer Guide for Adults

We've put together a booklet to help guide you in your prayer time. We will be using the Lord's Prayer as a framework to pray through, with a specific focus on the impact of COVID-19.

The Digital Prayer Guide is best formatted for use on a device or computer.

The Print Version is formatted for printing on 8.5x11 paper and has some space for notes.

Other Prayer Resources for Families

Prayer Spaces in Schools has put together a resource that families can use at home to walk through prayer activities to address COVID-19. You can access this resource here:

The same organization has put together a collection of other prayer activities for families to participate in together at home.

Evergreen's 24 Hours of Prayer Wall

We would love to hear how God speaks to you during your time of prayer. During our last 24 Hour Prayer Time in January, we started a Prayer Wall to create space for Evergreeners to share about how God spoke to them during the event. We would love to continue to build this page with testimonies of our experiences with God!
